No buses are showing on the map
Updated
If the Live Map shows fewer buses than you expect, or none, check these in order.
Is the map showing only some buses?
- The bus filter is on. When you've picked lines, the filter button at the top left is highlighted and your lines are listed down the left of the map. Open the filter and tap All Buses to see every line. See show only the lines you ride.
- A route is showing. A banner at the top with a line name means the map is showing just that line. Tap the x on the banner to go back to all buses.
- Bunched buses only is on. A Bunched buses only banner at the top means the map is showing only bunched buses. Tap the x on the banner, or tap the two-bus button above Find Me, to see all buses again.
Are you looking in the right place?
- BusBus loads the buses within about half a mile of the middle of the map. Drag the map so the area you want is in the middle, or tap Find Me to go back to where you are.
- The map shows up to 100 buses at a time. In a busy area, the buses farthest from the middle of the map are left off.
- Zoomed far out, buses turn into small dots, and crowded buses are grouped into a circle with a number. Tap the circle, or zoom in, to see them.
Is BusBus getting bus data?
If you see Network Unavailable, BusBus can't reach the internet. Once you're back online, tap the Advisories tab and then the Live Map tab to load the buses again.
Android: BusBus loads the buses again by itself soon after you're back online. Dragging the map to another area loads them too.
A bus that stops sending reports is taken off the map until it reports again.
Some lines don't run late at night or on weekends. Check the Advisories tab for service changes on your line.
If none of these help, use Email support on this page and tell us where you are and which line you're looking for.
