A stop says no buses are on the way

Updated

A stop can show No buses on the way in My Stops, or a message like No M15 buses on the way right now on the stop's card. Here's what BusBus counts, and what to check.

Which buses a stop lists

A stop lists buses on its line that:

  • Are going the same way as the stop. A saved stop is for one line going one way, shown under its name as To and the direction.
  • Haven't passed the stop yet.
  • Have reported the stop they're heading to. A bus that hasn't, which its Trip screen shows as "This bus hasn't reported its next stop", isn't counted.

What to check

  • You saved the stop for the other direction. Look at the direction under the stop's name. To save the stop across the street, show the line's route, switch direction on the banner at the top of the map, and save that stop too. See find a stop near you.
  • No buses are running. Show the line's route. If its banner says No buses in service, nothing is running on the line right now. Check Advisories for service changes.

If you see Couldn't check for buses

BusBus couldn't get the line's buses. Check that you're online, then pull down on My Stops or the stop's page to try again. If it worked before, BusBus keeps showing the last buses it found until it can check again.

Still stuck? Use Email support on this page, and include the line and the stop number, like Stop 403171.
