Email support from the app

The quickest way to reach us is from inside ColoredEye. It fills in the details we need to help, so you only have to say what happened.

Send a message

  1. Tap Settings, the gear at the top right of the camera screen.
  2. Under Help, tap Email Support.
  3. A new message opens, addressed to coloredeye-support@mgsapps.com, with the subject ColoredEye Support Request.
  4. Write in the space at the top of the message. Say what you were pointing the camera at, and what the light was like.
  5. Send it.

What's filled in

Below your message, after a line with two hyphens, ColoredEye adds a few lines like these:

  • ColoredEye: the app's version, with the build number in brackets.
  • Device: your device's model, such as iPhone17,1. On a Mac, it ends with , running on a Mac.
  • System: the system name and version.
  • Language: your first preferred language.
  • Text size: your text size. L is the standard size, and the larger accessibility sizes start with Accessibility.
  • VoiceOver: On or Off.
  • Camera access: Allowed, Denied, Restricted or Not asked.
  • Ad Free: Yes if you own Ad Free, otherwise No.
  • Color names: your color set, and whether Show Basic Color is on.
  • Sample size: the area Sample Size averages, such as 1 x 1 for a single pixel.
  • Announce colors, tap to freeze and color in navigation bar: whether Announce Colors, Tap to Freeze and Show Color in Navigation Bar are on.

These lines are always in English, so whoever answers can read them. They don't include your name, your photos or anything the camera sees. You can change or delete any of it before you send, and nothing is sent unless you send it.

If Mail isn't set up

  • If the Mail app has no email account, ColoredEye opens your default email app instead, such as Gmail, with the same message.
  • If no email app can open it, you see Mail isn't set up. Add an email account in the Settings app, or write to coloredeye-support@mgsapps.com from another device.

Mac: Add an email account in System Settings › Internet Accounts.

Use the Email support button on this page, or write to coloredeye-support@mgsapps.com from any email app. Include your ColoredEye version, your iPhone or iPad model, and your iOS version. You can find the version at the bottom of Settings.
