Send a backup log to support
Updated
CloudBak keeps a log of each backup on your Mac. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you send it yourself, so if something went wrong, exporting the log and attaching it to your email helps us see what happened. To read how CloudBak handles your data, choose Help › CloudBak Privacy Policy.
Find the backup
- Open History in the sidebar. It lists every backup with what was copied, what became of old copies, and anything that failed.
- Select the backup you're writing about. Its log appears below.
You can narrow the log with All, Copied, Archived (Deleted for a backup made while the archive was turned off), Problems and Notes, or type in Search files and details. The detailed log is kept for the last 30 backups.
Export the log
- Click Export Log….
- Choose where to save it, then click Save. The file is named after the backup's date and time, such as
CloudBak Log 2026-10-28 02.00.14.csv, and opens in Numbers or Excel.
The log lists the names and folders of the files the backup handled. Look through it before you send it if that matters to you.
